Layout Lighting III
After spending ages trying to find how to get a fog effect i finally managed to work it out with my tutor. Firstly, I started playing about with the saturation distance and the colour of the fog. I was then trying to force the fog to the back of the scene and have more focused , sharper and darker lighting at the front of my layout.
I am pleased that i know how to add fog to my layout now. I will carry on messing about with lighting and fog and hopefully come up with my final lit layout.
Layout Lighting II
Now I have given my spotlights low intensity. Added some coloured lighting. focusing on oranges to add that warm environment feel. Also purples to give that nice dark areas. Both colours compliment each other and give that nice bar nightlife style. Softened all objects shadows around the booth so that gets all the attention.
I am very happy how my layout has turned out rendered with this lighting. Im still experimenting with lighting but this is how I imagined it to look. Maybe add some fog or dust etc.
Layout Lighting
Here I have started some basic lighting on my layout. It is mainly just spotlights. I want to have a dark lighting scene. The main light i want is coming down onto the booth where my characters will be sat. This isn't a bad start but i think the scene could do with some coloured lighting and some softer shadows.
Lighting
Before i start lighting my layout i decided it would be useful to look at a colour temperature chart. This will help me decide what colour lighting will suit my layouts environment.
- Basic setup lighting. That is, lighting over which you have control. Consists of three elements, Key, Fill and Back light.
